They are the beginning of something ambitious -- a memorial that hopes, one day, to include 8,645 figures, one for every British and German seaman who died at the Battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916. The Sea War Museum Jutland, which opened on 15 September 2015, exists to tell the story of that battle and the broader four-year war fought on, above, and below the surface of the North Sea.
