It was the night of January 4, 1923, in Rosewood, Florida, and the quiet whistle stop on the Seaboard Air Line Railway was about to be wiped off the map. The official death toll was eight. Survivors whispered of dozens more. For sixty years, almost nobody talked about it at all.]]></description>
