      <description><![CDATA[Stand on the dune crest and you have an ocean at your back and a mirror at your feet. The mirror is Lake Newland, a hypersaline lake so flat and so salt-bright that it throws the sky straight back at you. Between the two lies a barrier of Holocene sand, vast pale dunes that the wind keeps pushing inland, slowly burying the lagoons they shelter. This is the most extensive wetland on the entire Eyre Peninsula, a 20-kilometre ribbon of salt water, freshwater springs, and reed-beds running just inland of the Southern Ocean, about 10 kilometres north of Elliston.]]></description>
