The original people of the district knew it as Pajingo Bola, the "Big Fella Waterhole," and the name fits: in a parched landscape, this is the place that holds. Birds know it too. They arrive in great numbers, drawn to the one reliable wetland for hundreds of kilometres, turning a muddy outback lake into a destination for anyone who comes to watch them.]]></description>
