All three lines converged on a single point: the lighthouse perched 639 feet above sea level on Corregidor's Topside, the rocky headland guarding the entrance to Manila Bay. For more than a century and a half, this light has been the last thing mariners saw before entering one of Asia's most important harbors, and the first reassurance that they had found it.]]></description>
