In that time, men from the 85th Infantry Division trained here in the Sonoran Desert heat before shipping out to fight in Italy. The 6th Infantry Division prepared for the Pacific. The camp is now a California Historical Landmark. There is nothing left of it except the marker and the flat desert.]]></description>
